Formed in 1977, the IPIA’s role was and continues to be to promote education of oilfield related personnel in the methodology of nondestructive evaluation of oilfield tubular goods (OCTG) and other material that can be inspected with existing technology.


Courses are scheduled throughout the year at the IPIA Training Center in Houston Texas and around the world.   Locations where we have taught are: Throughout the  United States, Canada,  Trinidad West Indies,  Perth Australia, Tunisia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, locations in Mexico,  and  locations in Venezuela.


Whatever your training needs are, IPIA staff can work with you to provide the best course work available anywhere.


Staff can consult with you on the interpretation of specifications and works towards both the standardization of inspection techniques and the provision of certification in accordance with API and ASNT.



Minimum Student Requirement
Course dates and locations are subject to change if minimum student requirements are not met.
5 minimum for courses within the U.S.A.
6 minimum for courses Internationally

Students are required to provide their own API and/or DS-1® manuals as needed for a course
